What is an Ecological Footprint?
It's the impact of a person or community on the environment based on how many resources they use. A carbon footprint is a measure or tracking of how many carbon emissions a person releases, measured in equivalent tons of CO2.
Factors Affecting Ecological Footprint

- Where you live
- How you live
- What you drive
- How much you drive

Other Factors
Masachusetts
If in Massachusetts, in a 5+ unit apartment, driving less each year, the emissions would only be 51 tons per year because of where it was, what I lived in, and the fact that I drove less.
Home Energy
Home Energy is the factor that has the biggest effect on my carbon footprint because that is wher I spend the most time, and therefore the most energy.
