Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in AISD
Census 2020
The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade. Census data directly affects the federal funds that communities receive each year for programs and services that are critical for schools, students, and younger children, such as:
- Special education, Head Start, after-school programs, and classroom technology.
- Food assistance, including free and reduced-price school lunches.
- Maternal and child health programs.

Summer Kids Series
The Austin Humane Society has taken Summer Kids Series virtual in 2020! This summer-long event is celebrating eight years and we cannot wait to take your Humane Heroes on an epic adventure through the world of animals. Register your littlest animal lover for our hands-on, educational sessions that will inspire and engage. Along the way, they’ll learn what it means to care for a pet of their own and explore ways to help animals in need.
