Rural School Library Needs Books

Donate to Peace Corps Project Today

Project Description

Dear church members,

My name is Geoffrey Ng. Many of you know my father, Jan Ng. I am currently a Peace Corps Education Volunteer serving in a rural village in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. I work as a literacy specialist at Lowmans Windward Anglican Primary School. Through my work there, I have quickly found that the school library needs quality reading books. Many of these children hunger for good books. There is not a big selection, and students get sad when they cannot find a suitable book to read.

What we need are books for elementary school age children. The books must be in good condition. We prefer books that are easy to read. If you have unused children's books lying around your house, this is the perfect opportunity to send them overseas and put them to good use!

Please place your books in the designated book boxes in the Church cafe. The donation will start May 1st and end on June 30th. The donated books will then be shipped in a barrel to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Thank You For Your Support!

Your books may potentially change a child's life!
