SV Week 37 Update
Makers in May
Thanks for a fantastic May the Fourth STEAM Night Student Showcase this week! We had an amazing turnout and our kids were so proud all evening showing off their hard work and engineering mindset on Wednesday. We also were thrilled at the huge turnout at last week's PTSO Movie Night! It was great to have our campus full of families and community, we are grateful to get back to these cherished SV traditions once again.
Our final PTSO meeting of the year will be on Monday May 16 at 7:00 pm in our Media Center. We are currently looking for at least one new board member to serve as secretary, and are hoping to bring some new families on board to help out as volunteers for PTSO. We would really appreciate your attendance at our final meeting as we close out this year and elect new board members for next year. If you have any questions about the meeting, and would like more information about volunteering, please email sierraverdeptso@gmail.com .
As we head into the last few weeks of the year, we have a lot more going on to wrap up 2022. Next week is busy with concerts, dances, and a performance at the Diamondbacks game.

PTSO Needs Your Help!
We have our Last PTSO General Meeting of the year on Monday 5/16 at 7:00 pm in the Media Center. We are hoping to get more of our parents plugged in and involved for 22-23 to be on campus and helping out so we can start a normal year with parents on campus and homeroom volunteers in place to start the year. It has been two years since we have been able to have a "normal" start and we would welcome your help on our campus and with our events. If you would like to see the options available come on out at at our final meeting.
Our Papa John's Restaurant Night is next Friday May 13, flyers have been distributed.
Thank you so much for your support!

End of Year Medication Pick Up
Dear Parents/ Guardians;
It is hard to believe that the end of the year is almost here. I want to remind all of those families that have medication in the nurse’s office that it must be picked up by an adult no later than Thursday May 19th. I do not keep any medication over the Summer. Any medication not picked up will be destroyed after the pickup date.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Have a wonderful summer!

Updates from our Office
We are currently building our Master Schedule for 22-23 in PowerSchool, for some of our grades, you may be able to see class placements and teachers for next year and these are all currently in a working "Draft mode" as we always have to make some changes and adjustments through the summer to balance our classes. As a reminder, we do not change classrooms are make schedule changes per policy by parent request. A lot of time, effort, and thought goes into homeroom and rotation placements each year and it would be impossible to honor classroom requests based on the many variables we take into account already.
Next Friday May 13 is a 2:00 pm Early Release
The Grade 7-12 Science Curriculum materials adoption public review period continues from now until May 9.
Our Lost and Found will be emptied after next Friday. Any items left unclaimed will be donated the next weekend.
Have a Great Weekend
