From the Principal
Hopefully this message finds you well and in good spirits. The first week of the 4th Nine Weeks was filled with engaging instruction, scholars giving their best on CBA #5, recognition of our Instructional Aides, recognition of our Librarian, and shopping at the Book Fair (online and in-person). We ended the week with a school-wide live reading of "The Good Egg", and Mrs. Crow was featured in an article. That serves as a great reminder that the application for general education Pre-K is open, so be sure to apply via the district's registration website.
This week, we look forward to it being another productive one. Our morning procedures inside of the building are changing slightly due to the district's hot breakfast initiative. Here's how parents/guardians can help. Aim to drop your child off as close to 7:15 a.m. as possible so that he/she has time to eat prior to the start of the instructional day. We also would like to remind parents/guardians to send your children to school daily with a face mask and a refillable water bottle (it helps to write your child's name on the water bottle using a permanent marker).
Be sure to keep the following dates(s) in mind:
- April 21: Administrative Professionals Day
- April 22: Earth Day
- April 25: Mommy & Me Yoga at Prairie View Park (PTA Event) 2:00 p.m.
Read on below to find out about upcoming events, news from The Counselor's Corner, and other helpful resources and links.
Always remember that "The Race for Excellence has No Finish Line."
