No School Monday, February 21 - Presidents' Day
Terra Nova Testing grades 2-8
Dear families,
Terra Nova Testing begins on Tuesday, February 22 for students in grades 2 through 8. The testing window is three weeks, although there are only 7 actual testing days.
How can you help your student do well? Terra Nova is not a test that students can study for; it is a standardized test to gain knowledge of how each student is doing academically.
Parents can help ensure success by:
· Being sure their child gets proper rest by going to bed and sleeping 8+ hours/nightly
· Getting to school on time
· Giving their child a good breakfast
· Providing a healthy snack and water for school
Please have students arrive to school on time. Once the test starts, we cannot admit students into the classroom. They will be held in the office until a break in the test.
Teachers will only being doing small academic tests like Spelling for the duration of the seven day testing period. Homework will be reduced as well to allow for students to rest the nights before.
Thank you for your help and partnering with St. Anthony Catholic School to ensure your child is successful. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Becker with any questions.
Blessings,
Mrs. Becker
Income Verification Forms
Dear St. Anthony Family:
Our local school district, Polk County Public Schools, is responsible for implementing a federal education program entitled Title I, which offers instructional services to eligible public and private school children. The additional instruction provided by the Title I program helps participating children acquire the knowledge and skills they need to meet challenging achievement standards. The services each school will receive are based on the number of students whose families are documented to be at certain income levels set by federal standards.
The attached form is intended to gather and document the income information needed from our families that will determine the amount of equitable services the school district has available. Additional resources are also provided based on the number of forms returned to the school. Please be assured that the information you provide will be strictly confidential and will remain at our school office. I am asking that you digitally fill out the attached form, listing each child in your family who attends our school, from Kindergarten through Grade 8. This can be digitally completed and returned. If you would prefer a print form, please respond to this email and I will send home a paper form.
Your cooperation in providing this information is vital to ensure that our school receives all equitable services for which we may be eligible.
Every family who returns the survey will receive 2 NUT Days (no uniform today) per student.
Thank you for all that you do for our children.
Blessings,
Mrs. Becker
Principal

Parent Survey
Dear Parents and Guardians,
St. Anthony Catholic School has partnered with Johns Hopkins University to administer a school culture survey to our stakeholders to be used as part of our accreditation process. The Diocese of Orlando and Florida Catholic Conference of Bishops has developed a relationship with John Hopkins University moving forward to conduct our stakeholder surveys as a crucial part of our accreditation. The information from this survey allows the school to hear from our faculty, students and families on what we do well and areas of improvement as it relates to our mission of Catholic education. Please select the link below for further details.
