Supporting Students with Special Needs During COVID-19

Please join us on December 16th from 7-8 p.m. for a panel discussion regarding the educational impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children with special needs. This

Student Services Parent Advisory Committee (SSPAC) sponsored event will include District 41 administration and Special Education Advocate, Dr. Matt Wanzenberg. As part of the panel discussion, Superintendent Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski, Assistant Superintendent of TLA Dr. Katie McCluskey, and Director of Student Services Laurel O'Brien will answer questions submitted to SSPAC co-chairs regarding D41's efforts to address the educational challenges our D41 community is facing.

Parents and caregivers of D41 students who receive special services are encouraged to submit questions for the panel to SSPAC co-chairs Kim Lechner and Amy Kalten at sspacd41@gmail.com by December 9th. Panel questions will be determined based on themes that emerge. Please note that due to time limitations there will not be an opportunity for additional questions following the discussion, therefore we encourage all questions to be submitted by Dec. 9th.
