Distance Learning Shout Outs
As we continue on with distance learning for the remainder of the year, we are going to start celebrating the efforts of our Huskies. Each week we will recognize students that are "rocking remote learning!" Here is the next round of shout outs sent in from classroom teachers.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4th-8th. To help recognize our amazing teaching staff, we have a fun-filled week of activities. Each day there will be a post on Facebook for students to share their messages, pictures, etc. Please help us let our teachers know how thankful we are for them.
Thank You Lunch Heroes!
Today is School Lunch Hero Day. We are so appreciative of all their efforts! Not all superheroes wear capes. Ours wear aprons, hairnets, and now masks!
Huskie Heroes
Over the past month, we have seen our Little Huskies doing so many things to help others from writing encouraging messages to doing extra chores around the house to creating "ear savers" and masks for others. If you have a picture of your helper, please share it in the comments or send it to schmidt@hemlockps.com by May 4th and we will add it to a video that we are making for the kids. #bettertogether #lookforthehelpers #huskieheroes

Remember Local Businesses
Our local businesses often help us with many things throughout the year. They donate their time and money to many sports teams (youth through high school age), drama clubs, and robotics teams just to name a few. Don't forget about them during this time. Many of them are closed now due to the "Stay at Home" order from Governor Whitmer, but many of our local restaurants are still open for take-out/delivery.
