Have a restful and safe Spring Break!
A HUGE shoutout to the cast, crew and directors for putting on an incredible production of The Diary of Anne Frank this past weekend. From the incredible acting, to the set and tech contributions, this rendition was one of the most powerful and poignant plays our theater department has ever put on. Great job to all!
It is hard to believe Spring Break starts on Friday, a week when we will get to enjoy a bit of time to relax. I want to use this opportunity to thank all families for their continued support and our teachers and staff for their generous contributions to school life. Without your dedication, our successes would not be possible.
I hope that you all have a safe and restful spring break and are able to enjoy a little sunshine. Take this time to recharge and spend time with your loved ones.

Westfield Police Department Public Safety Announcement: M30
This WPD announcement and video were included on our student's Canvas page on Friday regarding the new M30 drug. We want to make sure all of our parents and students are aware of the dangers of this new drug. Our counselors are available to students that might have questions and we encourage our students to reach out to have these important conversations with them and/or their families.
SENIOR Students & Families: Senior Assassin
WHS and district administration recently received phone calls and emails from Westfield community members expressing concern over some actions they witnessed as a part of a “Senior Assassin” game of which a number of our students are allegedly participating. While this is not a school-sponsored, school-sanctioned activity and no documented elements have occurred on school grounds, we recognize the impact it may have on those within our school community. We want to provide words of caution - we expect everyone to make good, safe choices. Furthermore, any action by a current WHS student that could be classified as bullying, harassment or intimidation would fall within the school’s jurisdiction for investigation and the individual(s) involved be subject to school discipline (whether or not the precipitating incident took place on or off of school grounds). With so many exciting end of the year events approaching, such as prom and commencement, we would hate for any careless behaviors or choices to ruin those opportunities for our students. We have encouraged community members to be vigilant and reach out directly to the Westfield Police Department if they believe there is a significant disruption or threat to public safety.

March is Initiative Month!
Westfield High School is excited to focus on monthly themes that are aligned with our Life Ready Skills. In addition, these themes match CORE content as well as national/global awareness months.
March’s theme is INITIATIVE. Our CORE sessions this month will offer enrichment activities encompassing the INITIATIVE theme.
Additionally, there is a monthly nomination form for those students and staff that demonstrate each of our monthly themes. For INITIATIVE month, these individuals take responsibility for personal development. They take action themselves and want to be challenged to be better.. If you know a student or staff member who is a role model in showing these characteristics, nominate them today! Please complete this brief form so that we can recognize those going above and beyond in regards to this attribute.
