Alief ISD News and Recognitions

Elsik High School student Ken Nguyen's design was selected for the 2019 Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference t-shirt.

Nguyen won the Texas BPA regional conference t-shirt design contest and will be attending the state leadership conference in Dallas. Approximately 3,650 BPA students will be wearing his original t-shirt design.

Hundreds of Alief ISD elementary school students were selected to receive free bikes from CYCLE Houston.

Students from Hearne, Heflin, Landis, Rees, Smith and Youens who met their reading goals were selected for this celebration.

Congratulations to the Alief ISD UIL Academic Plus competition middle school winners!

O’Donnell Middle School won the district championship, Olle Middle School finished second, and Alief Middle School finished third.

Boone Elementary School received a $1,841 donation from First Book in partnership with DD’s Discount Stores.

The donation will be used to purchase a book for every student enrolled at Boone Elementary.

Miller Intermediate School was selected as a recipient of the 2019 Target Field Trip Grant.

Miller will receive $700 to fund learning opportunities outside of the classroom.
