Season of Service
partner - serve - change
We're in the Home Stretch- Together!
We are in the “home stretch” of our fourth Season of Service! Major projects are happening every week and weekend until this season closes with our big celebration at Raley Field on May 22nd (see below for details and tickets). If you have been on the ground, doing the work, showing the compassion of Christ – Thank you! If you haven’t yet, this is the time to “jump in”, especially this weekend as the massive Reimagine Mack Road work day is happening on Saturday.
You may not know this, but you are one of almost 2000 people who receive and check in on what's happening through these newsletter updates. These updates, the Serve Sacramento website, our videos and all of our administrative support that is helping raise the ongoing level of service in the greater Sacramento region is budgeted through the ACTS Group. Ever taken a look at that website? If not, check it out here!. This is a time of great opportunity and I want to encourage you to join me as a monthly financial supporter of the ACTS Group (see how to do that below). The addition of monthly support is critical for us to move forward with strength beyond this Season of Service and to fully implement the Every School Partnership plan. It’s not that hard. Together, we can keep seeing this momentum sustained and grow.
Serving with you,
Megan McCleary
Serve Sacramento Director

You are invited to join us for our 2015 Season of Service celebration held at Raley Field during a Rivercats Game on Friday, May 22nd. You will be able to hear and see videos of the various service events of the season, enjoy a great baseball game and the night will conclude with fireworks! And because we are all about service, there will be an opportunity for you to serve before the game by bringing in canned food items to donate to local food banks.
Stories of Service: Give Love Campaign
This spring, Vintage Grace of El Dorado Hills launched the Give Love Campaign, an opportunity to reach out to children in El Dorado County as they are placed in foster care. Children are often taken from their living situations on short notice and many times go with nothing other than the clothes on their backs. Through Give Love, Vintage Grace was able to provide clothing and overnight items for these children as they make a difficult transition to a new home.
Vintage Grace is thrilled to report the response from the community has been overwhelming. They received 250 backpacks, filled with supplies and clothing! Vintage Grace prayed over them as a church on Easter Sunday and delivered them to El Dorado County this week. THANK YOU Vintage Grace and all the volunteers who were involved in giving love and hope to our region's vulnerable children!
If you would like to give to the Give Love Campaign, Vintage Grace is continuing to accept filled backpacks at the Vintage Grace office: 873 Embarcadero #4 in EDH or The California Welcome Center in El Dorado Hills Town Center (2085 Vine St. Suite 105). Donations to this campaign can be made at their on-line giving page. Choose “Give Love Campaign” in the dropdown menu under Categories & Funds.
