Boone Meadow Meet & Greet
Thursday, August 6th 3:00-6:30
Dear Boone Meadow Families
We can't wait to see you.
Remote Learners: Remote families will be able to meet their teacher at our virtual Meet and Greet on Thursday, August 6th. Families of remote learners should have received a Zoom link and other important details for the evening. (Note: Remote learners are to pick up their student materials from the school on Friday, 8/7 from 9:30-11:00 AM & 12:00-2:00 PM)
In-Person Learners: On Thursday afternoon, August 6th, (3:00-6:30) we will open the doors for students to meet their child's teacher and visit the classroom. During this time, students can drop off school supplies, say hello to their teacher, and get those last few questions answered.
Please consider the following when planning to attend the "Meet and Greet" on BME campus (for In-Person Learners):
- Our goal is to keep everyone safe. In order to assist with safety, we will control the number of people visiting at any one time, please adhere to the timeline for visits based on family last name unless your child's teacher has communicated different information. This will allow us to have less people in classrooms at any one time.
- Consider how many will be visiting with your family. Your immediate family is welcome, and smaller numbers assist us in providing a safe, socially-distanced environment.
- Families should only visit their current teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Please refrain from visiting other classrooms and previous teachers as they focus on meeting their new students and also keep number of guests to a smaller number.
Times for visiting your teacher(s):
- 3:00-3:30 - Last name begins with letters "A, B"
- 3:30-4:00 - Last name begins with letters " C, D, E, F"
- 4:00-4:30 - Last name begins with letters "G & H"
- 4:30-5:00 - Last name begins with letters "I, J, K, L"
- 5:00-5:30 - Last name begins with letters " M, N, O, P, Q, R"
- 5:30-6:00 - Last name begins with letter "S"
- 6:00-6:30 - Last name begins with letters "T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z"
Enhanced Safety Protocols
- In addition to wearing a mask, we ask that you complete the ZCS Visitor Self-Screening Process for each family member. Please see the section below that contains a link that will take you to the screening tool.
- We have limited the number of families who will attend during each session in order to help us incorporate social distancing. We kindly request that families come only during their assigned time. We encourage smaller numbers in attendance if possible.
- Masks will be required. Please ensure that all members of your family that are attending wear a mask while on our campus.
- Hand Sanitizing Stations will be set up throughout the space. Of course, there will also be restrooms available for hand washing as well. We would just ask that families follow social distancing protocols if choosing to enter a restroom.
ZCS Visitor Self-Screening Process
Maintaining a healthy environment is a priority for ZCS and a duty of all individuals on campus. Every individual shall follow the process below each day prior to arrival on campus.
- Each visitor should access the screener tool on their smart phone or computer prior to coming to campus and complete the screening questions. Parents or guardians should complete for their small children.
- Click on this link for easy access: ZCS Visitor Screening Tool
- If an individual is told not to come to campus based on the responses, please contact the BME main office us at 317-873-2226 during normal office hours for assistance.
