STAFF HIGHLIGHT: Lisa Feltman - Paraprofessional

A little bit about Ms. Feltman:

A little bit about myself and background: I grew up on a farm between Lester Prairie and Winsted. I graduated from LP in 1990 along with my husband Troy. I am MOM to 2 great kids (young adults): Adam and Hope. I have a daughter-in-law named Mallory and a future son-in-law named Steven. I'm a GRANDMA...yes, I'm a Grandma!...to the sweetest, spunkiest, sassiest little 1 year old, Miss Layla!

My hobbies are:

  • photography (drives my kids crazy)
  • crafts/flowers
  • event planning
  • baking

Something you might not know about me is:

  • I grew up on a farm.
  • I hate all veggies.
  • I was a hairdresser.
  • I was a florist.

My favorite movie is: This is a tough one...I like a lot of movies: musicals, romance, action, etc. But I would say Mamma Mia.

Side note: I hate horror movies!

My favorite book is: I don't have a favorite, but at the present moment, the books I get to read are all dinosaur books. Miss Layla loves dinosaurs.

My favorite sport or activity is: Cheer! I was a cheerleader in high school (no lie!) and now I coach Cheer.

STAFF HIGHLIGHT: Rachel Stender - Social Studies, Business, REACH, and Yearbook Advisor

A little bit about Ms. Stender:

A little bit about myself and background:

  • SMSU Grad 2018 - History degree and Social Studies 5-12 license
  • recently engaged to High School Sweetheart Kyle (we are both farmers)
  • Black Lab named Cruze

A favorite thing that I like to do is:

  • spend time with family and friends having a game night
  • spend time with my nephews Ollie and Liam

My hobbies are: making jewelry, taking pictures, hiking, traveling, reading, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, and playing with Cruze.

Something you might not know about me is: I own my own jewelry and photography business! We also plan to start dairy farming.

My favorite time period in History is: World War 2 - especially about POWs and concentration camps.

My favorite book is: Night by Elie Wiesel because it shows the true horrors of what Jewish people faced during WW II.

My favorite activity is: watching theater productions. I love seeing what actors/actresses can perform. My favorite theater productions include one acts and musicals.

If I could meet any historical person, it would be: I can't pick one! I have so many! If I could just have a time machine, I would be set!
