We are Texans: Grade 4
The Effects of Geography on Immigration
Through teacher led instruction and student independent research, we will learn how cultural and physical geography are vital to the decisions immigrants have made and the impact that they have had in coming to Texas.
Each student will create a museum display showcasing the contributions of the particular immigration population that they have selected. The display should include 7-12 artifacts , such as, but not limited to: photographs, symbolic objects, video presentations, audio presentation, documents, personal letters, etc.
The culmination of this effort will be an exhibit of each students display to be set up in our library.
Students may use video or audio applications such as telligami, iMovie, or GarageBand to enhance their museum exhibit. This would especially benefit students with social skill issues.
