Mariner Weekly

January 5, 2021

WELCOME BACK AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back to all of our Mariner family! I write to you today with renewed hope that as the calendar moves to 2021, we will continue to move towards a full school building and a return to a more normal daily schedule. Please continue to social distance and wear masks so that we can all be safely back together soon.

STUDENTS OF THE MONTH!

Congratulations to our January Students of the Month, Aslhey Molina Coronado and John O'Donnell!

Aslhey is originally from Costa Rica. She moved to the United States one year ago. She enjoys learning new things, a new culture, and being able to communicate with people in a new language. Aslhey has adjusted well to our school and curriculum achieving High Honor Roll every marking period. She hopes to attend the EU Business School in Spain, majoring in International Relations.

John is a member of our Varsity Football, Wrestling, and Golf teams. He is an Honor Roll student in the classroom and has received the Dick Butkus Award for his performance on the field. On the wrestling mat, John is a Region Champion and a two time Shore Conference Finalist. John will be continuing his educational and wrestling career at Rutgers University, majoring in Business.

STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH!

Congratulations to our January Staff Member of the Month, Ms. Keleyn Wraga!

Ms. Wraga is a proud graduate of HS North and has taught at our school for the last four years of her six year career. She currently works with our freshman Art Academy students, teaches Studio Art I and Art Appreciation. Outside of the classroom, Keleyn serves as the advisor to our Art Club. She designs our main lobby and oversees makeup for our annual musical. In her spare time she enjoys her dog, all things Disney, sewing, croqueting and owns her own jewelry business.
