Open House Wednesday, August 30 4:30-6:00PM
We invite all families to attend the Rush Creek Open House for the 2023-2024 school year kick-off! Open House is a great time to connect with others in the community and to get excited for the school year! The doors will open at 4:30 PM. Please have students bring their labeled supplies to drop off in their classroom when they meet their teacher. This makes arrival on the first day easier for students. We look forward to seeing everyone at Open House!
Parent Drop-Off and Pick-up is changing at Rush Creek!
Beginning this school year, parent drop-off and pick-up will take place at the front of the school. Morning drop-off will be curbside using the one way at the front of the school. During afternoon pick-up, families will park in the parking lot and walk to the front entrance to pick-up their students and walk them to their vehicle. Please watch for detailed information regarding the procedures for these changes.
IMPORTANT: Back to School Forms Must Be Completed!
All back-to-school forms will be filled out online this year. Forms that are a part of this process include emergency cards, family contact information updates and photo/military denial releases. Complete the necessary steps today by going to the ParentVUE system, which is accessible from the Family Access button on the top right of any district or school website. On-screen prompts will then walk you through the back-to-school forms process.
All back to school forms MUST be completed to access information in ParentVUE.
Who is My Teacher?
Your classroom teacher will be visible in ParentVue after 4:30PM on Friday, August 25.
All back to school forms MUST be completed to enter ParentVUE to see your student's teacher. ParentVUE will prompt you to do this when you login.
The Minnesota state legislature passed a Free School Meals for Kids bill into law this spring, which takes effect in September and allows all in-person K-12 students to receive a free school breakfast and lunch each day, excluding a la carte/special menu items.
However, it’s still important for households to fill out the Educational Benefits application (formerly the free/reduced lunch application) on EduTrakConnect (formerly SmartSchoolK12). Depending on income, families who apply may receive free or discounted prices for:
- Field trips
- High school parking permits
- Clubs, activities and athletics
- Band instruments
- ACT, SAT and AP fees
- Home internet rates with certain providers
- Xcel Energy account assistance for electricity bills
Please fill out the Educational Benefits application.
