Take the Mansfield ISD 2017-18 Calendar Survey
State law requires that districts start school no earlier than the fourth Monday in August. However, Mansfield ISD has been designated as a District of Innovation, which provides the district more flexibility to set its own start and end date.
The members of the calendar committee have been working on next year’s calendar and would like the community’s feedback to help structure how the MISD 2017-18 calendar will look. Some of the subjects to weigh in on are the first day of school, evenly distributed semesters, holidays and more.
Take the MISD calendar survey here. The survey will close on Monday, Jan. 2 at 11:59 p.m.
The information gathered through this survey will be used to create calendar options. The public will then be asked to give feedback about those options. A recommendation will be brought to the MISD Board of Trustees later in January. Please note that MISD district calendars are not official until they are approved by the school board.
