Pasadena Unified School District's Mandarin Dual-Language Immersion Program (MDLIP): Independent Evaluation Information Sheet
The purpose of this independent evaluation study is to get a closer look at the Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program (MDLIP) at Field Elementary School and Sierra Madre Middle School. Teachers, instructional aides, parents, students in Grade 5 and higher, MDLIP Advisory Team members, school administrators, and district administrators are welcome to participate in the study. The evaluation activities include interviews, focus groups, and surveys, besides analyzing the data collected by the schools and district.
We invite you to participate in the evaluation study and share your thoughts and opinion about MDLIP. Your thoughts and opinions are very important. To encourage your participation in the focus groups, the schools and district will provide childcare and we will provide refreshments. We will also distribute a parent survey to all parents. We hope you will answer the survey, particularly if you are unable to attend a focus group.
Additionally, we will seek your permission for your children, in 5th grade or higher, to participate in the focus groups and student survey. We will send you the consent forms to sign soon.
