Into the Month of May We Go!

Finally, we made it to May. Everyone is back and ready to roll after visiting LightFair 2016 in San Diego last week. There was lots to see and take in. Quite a few of the Austin & Elgin attendees also visited the Hubbell after-hours event on the USS Midway. All in all, it was a good time at LightFair this year.

The Austin team celebrated April birthdays and anniversaries by enjoying a variety of pound cake and berries. Diane Bauer had the only birthday last month. April anniversaries included Kevin Ravins (8 years), Luis "Gorilla" Romero (5 years), and Pat Smith (1 year).

Some of the Elgin team is celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Thursday, May 5th with a potluck lunch. If you'd like to participate please give $5 to Chris Hoxie or Leticia Cuevas. Please feel free to bring something additional, but be sure to write your dish on the sign-up list by the west side cafeteria. Thanks!

Each week we ask an expert something that may or may not be in their field. This week's Expert is Elgin's Shipping Master Extraordinaire, Scott Gauthier.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

None. No thumbs. You try to picking up a piece of wood with no thumbs.

Mind-blowing! Short and sweet, but to the point. Thanks Scott for your help with this week's question by Kevin Ogaard.

If you have a question that you'd like to Ask An Expert please email us at A different expert will be up next week, but be prepared… it might be YOU!
