Staff Appreciation Snacks
We asked and you answered the call! Only a few weeks are left, so if you'd like to add your contribution to the teachers lounge snack bins this year, act now!

As a reminder, bins are provided in the lounge for you to fill with whatever treats you'd like: candy, gum, small apples/oranges, small packages of snacks, popcorn, etc.

Technology Specials Volunteers
Ms. Johnson, OCE's Technology specials teacher, is working with our first graders on a special project. She needs parent volunteers to help during 1st grade specials time (from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.) over the next few weeks. The teacher corresponding to each slot is listed in the sign up.
Volunteers must be comfortable using Chromebooks and willing to learn a new program called Book Creator (additional details listed in the sign-up). She needs assistance working with small student groups in order to guide the process of student learning using this platform.
Clipper Coffee Kick-Off
The PTA has created a Quick Links page for new families, but it is a great reference for everyone! You can access it here or bookmark www.ocepta.com/new.
We are also starting up a periodic Clipper Coffee for new families to meet up with each other and ask questions of veteran OCE parents. If you'd like to join us for coffee to welcome new parents, please sign up here.
Book Fair Reminders
The Book Fair is officially open until September 14th! Come and see us!
A few reminders:
- We still need volunteers next week. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!
- Want to avoid sending cash in with your students? eWallet is a new feature of this year's Book Fair. Watch a video to learn more about eWallet then sign-up here.
- You can round up your child's total to the nearest dollar to donate to the school's "All for Books" fund for students who can't afford a book.
- Books make great holiday gifts. Get ahead and do your holiday shopping at our book fair!
- No time to make it to the Book Fair? No problem! You can shop our fair online!
- Funds raised at the book fair are invested directly back into our media center.

Cici's Spirit Night
Cici's will be donating a portion of the proceeds of OCE meals to the school! A flyer will be sent home with your students that most be presented at the time of purchase.
Box Tops: National Box Tops Week September 17 - 23
Keep collecting those box tops and send them to school during National Box Tops Week September 17 - 23.
You can use the clipping sheets (attached below) or use plastic bags (marked with your teacher's name!). Box Tops can be delivered to the mail boxes located by the front office or to your child’s teacher.
Our first classroom winners for collecting the most Box Tops will also be awarded at the end of this collection drive. Thank you for supporting Box Tops.
