China is located in Eastern Asia, bordering the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea, and South China Sea, between North Korea and Vietnam.China lanforms are mostly mountains, high plateaus, deserts in west; plains, deltas, and hills in the East.The climate is extremely diverse. It is tropical in the South and subarctic in the North. China's natural resources include coal, iron ore, petroleum, natural gas, mercury, tin, tungsten, antimony, manganese, molybdenum, vanadium, magnetite, aluminum, lead, zinc, rare earth elements, uranium and, hydropower potential (world's largest).China has frequent typhoons (about five per year along southern and eastern coasts),damaging floods,tsunamis,earthquakes and, droughts land subsidence volcanism. China contains some historically active volcanoes including Changbaishan (also known as Baitoushan, Baegdu, or P'aektu-san), Hainan Dao, and Kunlun. although most have been relatively inactive in recent centuries.
China's government is a Communist state.The head of China's government is Premier WEN Jiabao.The Cheif of State is President HU Jintao. :The leaders of the Legislative Branch is the National People's Congress or Quanguo Renmin Daibiao Dahui. There are three types of courts in the Judicial Branch. One is the Supreme People's Court. Another type of court is the Local People's Courts. The third type of court is the Special People's Courts.The Constitution was adopted on the 4th of December of 1982. It has been amended many times. People can vote when they reach the age of 18.
China's nationality is Chinese. The languages that are spoken in China are Standard Chinese or Mandarin (Putonghua, based on the Beijing dialect), Yue (Cantonese), Wu (Shanghainese), Minbei (Fuzhou), Minnan (Hokkien-Taiwanese), Xiang and, Gan. China's ethnic groups are Han Chinese at 91.5%, Zhuang, Manchu, Hui, Miao, Uighur, Tujia, Yi, Mongol, Tibetan, Buyi, Dong, Yao, Korean, and other nationalities at 8.5%. China's religions are Daoist (Taoist), Buddhist, Christian 3%-4%, Muslim 1%-2%
China's GDP Per Capita is $9,100. Their agricultural products are rice, wheat, potatoes, corn, peanuts, tea, millet, barley, apples, cotton, oilseed, pork, and fish. China is the world leader in gross value of agricultural output. Their import partners are Japan with 11.2%, South Korea with 9.3%, U.S with 6.8%, Germany with 5.3% and, Australia with 4.6%. China also has export partners. They are US with 17.1%, Hong Kong with 14.1%, Japan with 7.8%, South Korea with 4.4% and, Germany with 4%. The percent of labor force for agricultural work is 36.7%. The percent of labor for industrial work is 28.7% and the percent of labor force for service work is 34.6%. China also has a name for their currency. China's currency is called Renminbi.
