Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
Next week is Dr. Seuss' birthday and SES will be recognizing his birthday with different activities. Some grade levels have additional activities planned. However, schoolwide there are Seuss themed door decorations, along with surprise D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) times on Thursday, and a Wacky Wednesday dress up day on March 1st!
Speaking of reading! Here are some great reminders for all of us.
Family Math/Reading Night Survey

RAILS tickets - New goal
Beginning this week, SES students have a new goal with their RAILS tickets. For every 20 RAILS tickets the students in a classroom receive, they will earn one red train for their class. Once the word "TRACK" is filled up with trains, the students will earn a wacky dress-up week where each grade level gets to choose the theme for a day.
Students earn RAILS tickets for demonstrating positive behavior - the focus this month is on students meeting bathroom expectations in addition to lunchroom and hallway expectations.
School Pictures (Wednesday, March 8th)
Order forms should be sent home the week of 2/27.

As an FYI, SASD is hosting the information session next week about ALiCE - the crisis response training that all SASD employees have received.
