Referendum

I have sent some emails home regarding the upcoming referendum. Please click on the links below for more information. If you have any question at all, do not hesitate to contact me! The passing of this upcoming referendum is very important for our district, our schools, our class and ultimately our children. I greatly appreciate your support!!!

Continent Studies - ANTARCTICA

We are wrapping up our opinion papers on Antarctica. We took a break this morning to have some fun with Mrs. Schmidt (Farm to School Program). She let us use the "blender bike" to make smoothies. It was a great activity. Check out the pictures on Facebook!

Wonders

We took our Wonders test this morning. I am very proud of the kids. Many of them have made great progress. Keep up the awesome work!

We will take our spelling test on Monday. I sent home a paper on Spelling City. I was able to purchase the "premium" membership and each student has an account. The paper that was sent home has your child's username and password on it. You can access the website through the link below. There is also a spelling city app for your tablet or mobile device. Please have your child practice their spelling using some of the fun games on Spelling City! Thanks for your support!

Please have your child read at home as much as possible. Even 20 minutes per night will make a big difference in increasing their fluency and comprehension. Thank you for your support!

Envisions Math

Topic 6 math test on Monday!

Please continue to practice math facts at home with your child. Remember, your student can access Reflex math at home to practice. Not all students have access to Reflex math (it is funded by Title I and there are limited seats). If your child does not have access, factmonster.com is another great website to practice facts. Thank you for your continued support! On Tuesday, we will begin Topic 7: Division!

Genius Hour

This week, we did not have Genius Hour due to our Farm to School blender bike activity. We will not have Genius Hour next week due to no school on Friday (teacher inservice). We will get back on track as soon as possible!
