Covid Alert

Two members of our staff tested positive for Covid this week. Pastors Andy and Vince are both at home under quarantine. Also, some of the children connected to our Children's worship ministry have tested positive for Covid and are under quarantine. We have taken steps to ensure that our Child Care facilities are clean and sanitized. However, we do ask that parents do what they think is right with regard to child safety under these conditions.

Helping Hands

This ministry has been a tremendous blessing to all of us who have laid loved ones to rest. These folks provide food and fellowship for families and friends, brothers and sisters in Christ in the event of the death of a loved one. For the past 16 years this ministry has been lead by Greta Souza and we thank her for her work and all those who assisted her in this vital ministry. As of this week the leadership responsibilities of "Helping Hands" will be taken up by Ingrid deJong.

Elder nominee for Governing Council

With the departure of Val Valdez we have a vacancy for one elder position in our "Governing Council" roster. Gerrit deJong has been selected to replace Val and his installation to office is scheduled for October 17th. We wish Val and Martha well as they transition to life on the east coast.

Wedding Announcement

Josh Kootstra and Yessenia Gomez celebrate their wedding on Saturday, October 9th. We wish them the Lord's blessing as they begin their life together as husband and wife.

Memorial Service

Marcy VanWorkum's memorial service has been scheduled for Monday, October 18th here at the church. The service will begin at 11:00AM with a luncheon to follow. The committal service is scheduled for 9:30AM at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Custodial Services

We are currently in the process of hiring a part time custodian and facilities manager. A job description is available in the office. If you know of anyone interested in this type of work please let them know of this development.
