Midlakes Superintendent Update
July 14, 2022
A Message From Dr. Ramos, Search Consultant
Dear Midlakes Community,
Last night, I had the opportunity to meet with the Board of Education to discuss the next steps in the superintendent search process.
Thank you to all who participated in completing the survey. The survey is the first step in helping the BOE create a candidate profile. The BOE will now take the time to analyze the results. We had 281 participants complete the survey, which is fantastic considering how busy the end of the school year is. If you were not able to complete the survey, it is not too late to share your feedback. Reach out to me and let’s talk.
Following the survey analysis, the Board will create the desired superintendent profile. This profile will be used by the BOE to review applicants. The BOE will select the desired applicants to participate in confidential interviews with the BOE. The BOE will then decide on who they would like to move forward to participate in confidential interviews with select school community stakeholders. If all goes as planned, we are hoping the BOE will have completed the selection process by the end of August.
As the process unfolds, we will continue to provide general updates. Please understand that a superintendent search is a BOE confidential process and they cannot share any details or names of applicants. At any time of the process, if you have any questions please reach out to me. This will be an intense process for your BOE, and I have no doubt that they will work arduously at selecting your next school superintendent.
Thank you,
Dr. Vicky Ramos
