This Week We Learned...
Identifying complete and incomplete sentences
Read the story "Jack and the Wolf" and completed a character analysis page
Read informational text about bats and wrote 3 complete sentences about what we learned.
Math-
Adding 10's and 1's
Using strategies to answer story problems
Science- We used bubbles, balloons, marbles, and ping pong balls to demonstrate the elements of force and motion.
Social Studies-
What is history? How can we find out about history?
We learned about Christopher Columbus.

Important Information
Please help your student choose and read books from the AR reading list so that they can take the corresponding test at school. We will be setting goals and rewards for completing tests.
Information about parent/teacher conferences will be sent out tomorrow, Monday the 12th. I will be asking parents to give their first and second choice for a conference time. Please send the sign-up sheet back to school as soon as possible. I will send your time slot home with your student on Wednesday the 14th. If we have met previously for a conference or home visit, you do not need to sign up for a conference time unless you feel that you need to.
