MCPL Summer Reading Challenge
This summer, students can dream about the future as they participate in active skill-building and critical thinking, and keep their minds engaged while they are away from the classroom.
How it Works
Kids and teens can earn up to 1,000 points that can be redeemed for free books and qualify for prizes by doing any combination of the following:
- READING! (10 points per book or 1 point per minute read)
- Taking part in virtual programs on MCPL’s Facebook pages
- Completing fun, age-appropriate activities at home
Adults can participate by modeling good reading behavior and earn prizes, too!
SORA
Don't forget about our ebook collection and access to SORA. Remember.... ALL LSR7 students have access to SORA and MCPL's collection. SORA can be accessed through Clever and to add MCPL's collection, students just enter LS + Lunch Number. To check out an eBook from MCPL, students enter their 8 digit birthdate.
Here's a video as a reminder on how to access SORA: SORA Video
