Week of October 25th

The amazing atmospheric river brought us almost nine inches of precipitation (snow and rain) and about 3 feet of snow on the summit, we are back to beautiful sunny weather. It's an early winter and this means fun in the snow and an early opening to the Mountain this year.

MUSD Students and teachers are busy in their classrooms. There have been a lot of exciting things happening at schools this month: Homecoming, MMS Rock Run, MES Fun Run. Our Athletic Teams are wrapping up the fall season and some are headed to the playoffs, including our Volleyball and Football teams who are wrapping up a spectacular season.

We have a Board meeting at 6pm this Thursday 10/28 and I hope you will join us on Zoom. The link is: Meeting ID: 854 8043 7538 Passcode: 472850 One tap mobile +16699006833

Our learning disposition of focus for October and November is GRATITUDE. We have a LOT to be grateful for! Take time to thank someone today, a teacher, staff member, a parent, administrator, community member or student. Gratitude not only helps our social-emotional state, but produces better learning. When we stop to show appreciation, we can be more mindful of what we are learning.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our school programs, our students and staff.

COVID cases are increasing in MUSD, but exposures are occurring primarily at home and in the community. Most of our most recent cases are due to parties and large gatherings outside of school.

Please remember to mask when going to large gatherings where you are with family and friends outside of your household.
