Do you want an easy way to earn 10% of your grade???
Use the Discussion Forum effectively by following these tips below:
- Proofread your post! Spelling, capitalization, grammar, and punctuation count towards your grade!
Wait, this is a science course! Why do I have to spell correctly? Georgia mandates that all science classes incorporate reading and writing into them. You can read about the standard HERE (Links to an external site.). Please proofread! Punctuation, capitalization, and grammar count so please double check so that I do not have to deduct points from your discussions.
- Remember that this is school, a real classroom. Do not respond to your peers with slang, abbreviations, inappropriate language, or personal jokes.
- Read through each prompt to ensure that you have included all of the requirements for each topic.
- Respond to 2 classmates. Your original post is worth 70%, each response to a classmate adds 15% onto that.
- Your response to your classmate should add to the discussion. It cannot be a praise or simple, "I agree" statement. Consider asking a question, offering an opinion, asking for an example.
- After the Introduce Yourself Discussion, all posts will be graded according to these guidelines!
