Please note: All bags will be checked by Chartwell faculty and staff for any items in violation of our Student Handbook policies prior to boarding the buses on September 20. A Seaside police officer will be present and observing the process.

High School Hiking Field Trip - Friday, September 23 (Students NOT attending Field Experience)

Next week, Friday, September 23, we are excited for our High School students who were not able to go on the field experience will go hiking! We will be hiking in Point Lobos in Big Sur, and are asking that students are dropped off and picked up at the main entrance to the park.


Students will need to bring a daypack or backpack with a packed lunch and ample water. Students should also wear appropriate shoes for a hike and bring sunscreen and/or a hat.

Week of September 19: COVID Update

For the week of September 19, here are the current Chartwell guidelines:

  • Indoor masking will be strongly recommended but not required.

  • Testing will be offered by request. Please send an email to Roz Harris if you would like your child tested for COVID.

  • If Your Child Tests Positive: Chartwell will follow the California Department of Health Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines for students, faculty, and staff who test positive for COVID.
