Administrator's Message:
It is hard to believe we are almost at the end of the 1st Nine Weeks of School. Students are learning so much and we are so proud of how hard they are working!
We are incorporating a word of the week into our announcements and students earn points for their class when they use it correctly in a sentence. Ask your child about each week's word, we are hearing some great sentences! So far we have learned: awkward, banter and impeccable.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Penny Wars, we raised over $700 for the United Way! Students had so much fun adding points to their class and sabotaging others!

How Can You Help Your Child with Their Math And Reading at Home!
Math
Students are learning to visualize multi-step word problems in order to effectively solve them using math facts, number sense, and PIES.
Reading
Students are learning to use evidence from the text to answer inferential questions and show support for their answers.

Communication & Information
Our teachers do an excellent job of communicating information regarding our programs and activities going on in our school. Here is way you can stay informed proactively:

Please remember that our teachers are with students throughout the day and will return the call/email as soon as they are able. At times, this may be the next school day.
Social Emotional Learning
As students are becoming reacclimated to school, we have been focusing on our social emotional health or our "emotional intelligence". Students are learning to be more self aware. This includes learning how to show empathy, manage their own emotions, make responsible decisions and resolve conflicts. Remember that modeling "emotional intelligence" begins at home and your child is watching and learning from you.
Student Attendance
We are nearing the end of the first nine weeks of school and attendance is critical for student success. Please make sure your child is at school daily and keeping up with their assignments!
