Message from the Principal
Hello parents,
One cannot walk away from all the experiences students and staff had this week without a smile on their face.
School spirit abounded with mismatched clothes, team jerseys, neon clothing and, of course, white and gold throughout! Mr. Howey added another layer of fun as he conducted a Twitter scavenger hunt for a 'lost' bison. The Minute-To-Win-It Games were a resounding success highlighted by the new Isaiah Bailey water jug competition! The pep rally on Friday was exciting and one of those seminal events during the year. The PTSA's wear pink for breast cancer awareness efforts also had many participants.
HS seniors and their parents were given expert assistance this week in understanding and completing the college application process. Thank you to our counselors who helped to organize the event. Parental feedback was quite positive.
We also conducted our first full evacuation drill. This drill is part of the requirements for school security preparation. Students exited the building and proceeded along the evacuation route in an orderly fashion. Nice job!
The Townhall meetings for grade 8 & 11 also went well. Students had the opportunity to connect with their grade level peers, teachers and advisers.
Remember next week is Senior portrait re-takes if you need them.
We hope to see all of you tomorrow as the Thundering Herd face off against Lindenwold for homecoming football. Be sure to be there during halftime to see the entire homecoming court and find out who was selected as queen.
Keep rocking those smiles! Go Herd!
Keep Love Present,
Dr. Vivadelli
