TESTING DAY REMINDERS
May 10 - Math STAAR
May 11 - Reading STAAR
BACKPACKS & CHROMEBOOKS
Students will need to bring their clear backpack and Chromebook on testing days.
Students testing will go to their 6th and 7th period classes.
Students that are not testing will have class and attendance will be taken.
SNACK & WATER BOTTLES
We will be providing an individual water bottle for every student testing. Students will not be allowed to have a personal water bottle during testing. Personal water bottles brought into the testing room will need to be kept in the student's backpack until testing has been completed.
We will allow students to bring a dry snack in a sandwich baggie. Students will not be allowed a snack larger than what fits in a 6.5 x 5.875-Inch (16.5 cm x 14.9 cm) baggie.
Please do not send a snack such as Cheetos, Doritos, Takis, etc. that will transfer on to hands and then on to the testing documents. Snacks like goldfish, pretzels, dry cereal, granola (taken out of the wrapper and placed in a baggie to reduce noise when opening).

CHANGES TO STUDY HALL & LATE BUS
No after school activities before STAAR testing days on May 9 & 10. Study hall and the late bus will resume on Wednesday May 11.
STUDY HALL TIME CHANGE
Beginning May 11, study hall will end at 5:00 p.m.
LATE BUS TIME CHANGE
Beginning May 11, the late bus will pick up students from Smith at 5:00 p.m.Study hall and the late bus have been canceled on May 16th.
A Parent/Guardian Must Review and Confirm Course Selections For Their Student
COURSE REQUEST VERIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Parents/guardians will have the opportunity to review their student’s course selections for the 2022-2023 school year online using their Home Access Center account. Access will be available from Tuesday, April 26, 2022 through Thursday, May 26, 2022. If you do not remember your HAC login and/or password, please contact Customer Care at 281-897-4357. Schools no longer have the ability to access that information.
This is not a schedule; it is a list of requested courses. Please be aware that requested courses are not guaranteed and may still be adjusted. If the courses are correct, you will indicate so in HAC, and no further action is needed.
A Google Form (accessed through HAC) must be completed by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 for any student who is requesting a change to his/her course requests for the 2022-2023 school year. This is the final opportunity to view and to request changes for the 2022-2023 course requests in HAC.
