PLAYGROUND USE AFTER SCHOOL
The elementary school playgrounds have been reserved for the Community Education and Recreation Department Kids Club Programs Monday through Friday from the final afternoon bell until 5:00 pm. For the safety of all children, we are asking that non-Kids Club students refrain from using the playgrounds until after 5 pm on weekdays. Thank you.
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Although we are still experiencing positive cases, we are moving in a better direction to keep us learning in person! Thank you for your continued support and diligence in watching for symptoms and keeping your children home when they are not feeling well. Just a reminder, this graphic below outlines symptoms to look for:
On Thursday, October 14th and Tuesday, October 19th, we are holding Parent Teacher conferences at Ben Franklin. Due to our most recent metrics, we are requiring masks for everyone in attendance for parent teacher conferences. Parents and caregivers have the option to request a virtual conference. If you would prefer a virtual conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher so they can send you a link to the virtual meeting. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Just a reminder about dismissal...when pulling out of the driveway during curbside pick up, please follow the directional arrows. Once in a lane to exit the driveway, cars make left turns from the left lane, right turns from the right lane to speed up the exit process. Thank you for your patience with the dismissal process.
Have a fantastic week!

NEW SPEAK UP SPEAK OUT FORM
The District has joined “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” for threat or incident reporting. This takes the place of our previous “StopIt” reporting form. Click on this link to view the new form. You will notice as you start typing the name of your school, the choices for schools narrows so you can select your school. By selecting your school, this report goes to the principal or local law enforcement when needed. The video linked below gives a good overview of how “Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin” works and is good to review with your family.
Going forward, we will have a graphic for Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin at the bottom of each newsletter that you can click on for quick access to report incidents if needed. You can also add the Speak Up Speak Out App on your phone for quick reporting by utilizing these links: iOS | Android
