Gifted Social Studies Weekly Update
Week of 12/2-12/6
Classroom Happenings
- National History Day is Monday, December 16, 2019 at Hixson Middle School from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
7th Grade Classes
The students have an assignment on Google Classroom to request feedback on their work and an assignment to submit work they need printed from the school copier.
Students continued in workshop mode this week and it is fun to see their work begin to take shape. You should ask them how it’s going. There are a lot of really great projects being developed.
Letters went home with students with the times they will meet with a judge about their project. The letter explains the events of our NHD Event on 12/16, but please let us know if you have questions about your student’s meeting time.
During this last week while we are finishing up, please encourage your student to ask for help or to stay after school to work. Mrs. Groene is usually available after school until 4:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays if students need help or just a space to work.
