Paws for PRIDE . . .
Congratulations to our Paws for PRIDE winners from last Friday’s drawing: Aaron Collachi, Ian Smith, Kayla Sproehnle, Cailyn LaRosa, Josiah Thomas, Madalyn Zagnojny & Dane Manuel.
These students were chosen at random to be recognized and celebrated for demonstrating one of our five character traits - Pride, Respect, Individual Responsibility, Determination & Empathy. Thank you to all of the Titus families for your support of our Paws for PRIDE program.
Math Materials Sale . . .
Each year Titus offers families the opportunity to purchase additional math materials to be used at home. This sale provides parents/guardians with the opportunity to purchase some of the same learning tools used in class for students to keep at home and use when studying or doing homework.
If you are interested in purchasing any materials for your child’s home use, please visit our web site and return the order form to your child’s teacher along with a check (no cash) to the Titus Elementary Activity Fund no later than September 26th.
Book Dedications . . .
Why dedicate a book to the Titus Library?
- To celebrate a birthday
To honor a family member or friend
To say “thank you” to a teacher
To remember someone special
For your donation of $20, we will order a book for you, place a book plate in the book with your message on it, notify the person in whose honor it was given, and allow your child to be the first to check it out. The dedication form can be found on the Titus web site, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Moore, Titus librarian.

Paws for PRIDE Assembly. . .
By: Aaron Fromel
During the all school assembly, I got to experience the thrill of having been a part of the first ever PRIDE assembly where we focused on empathy. The school entered silently and sat down as we listened to Mr. Cashman and Mrs. Horan talk about empathy, and what it means to show it at Titus. We got to hear "How do I stand in your shoes?" by Susan DeBell, Ph.D. read by Mrs. Wendell-Wesolowich. Then I saw a video created by Alyssa Guziewicz, Abby Maletz, and Paige Klein starring many kids showing empathy. Finally, the assembly wrapped up and we headed back to the classrooms.
By the end of the assembly, everybody knew what it meant to show empathy.
