Ridgeview's RFF Day: February 20th
Teachers Reach Out & Learn Through School Visits
On February 20th, Ridgeview teachers had the unique opportunity to learn from colleagues at other schools across the metro Atlanta area. Teams of teachers traveled to twelve different school sites to learn about IB inquiry-based instruction, personalized learning, AVID, PBIS, and student transition to middle school and high school. These visits provided time to observe classrooms, collaborate with metro-Atlanta educators, and reflect on our work at RCS. At 2:30, the faculty re-convened to share take-aways from their school visits, and we discussed next steps for our work as professionals in our professional learning communities (PLCs) .

Ninety-eight percent of teachers felt that the day was well organized, and ninety-five percent felt that the content learned during the school visit will be useful in their work with RCS students. Teachers commented that "really liked seeing how other schools functioned" and "would love to use future RFF days to do more activities like this."
