WolfPack Weekly

Dear Families,

As we end our fourth week of school, our teachers have been taking a lot of time to reflect on moments of success and celebration as well as plan for areas of continued growth. I want to share a few of our reflections with you and share some of the things we’re thinking about as we try to build a strong distance learning program.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff who never stops working to do all they can to support our students. Another incredibly huge thank you to our students and families who have stepped into this challenging time and taken on additional responsibilities to make learning happen from home. We are so humbled by our partnership with you and grateful for your support, encouragement and patience as we navigate this bumpy road together.

We are committed to still creating spaces for parents and families to connect and be a part of our greater school community. Please take a look at some upcoming ways to get involved!

representatives who serve a two-year term. They meet a minimum of eight times

a year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including

state and federally-funded programs. The School Site Council is a governing

body that is responsible for deciding how to spend categorical funds to improve

the instructional program here at Lemon Grove Academy. Each school in the district

receives a budget based upon enrollment. The School Site Council members

work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school and

allocate the funds to accomplish those goals.

Our first meeting for newly elected members will be on October 19th. The council

will determine future meeting times and dates at our first meeting. Agendas for meetings are posted publicly at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. All parents and members of the public are welcome to attend.
