A Message From the Director
Hello Dream Team,
Those times when it is hard to put one foot in front of the other
The times when we cry out not to be heard by another
When times are so hard that we can only dream of ease
When we have lost the fight for what we believe
When it seems that we have reached the end of the rope
When times are this hard where can we find hope?
But as we push through the darkness we feel our way.
Our steps help us gain our barrings in the dark dark gray
We find new strengths as we fight to stand
We push forward as more and more we believe that we can.
As we strive harder life's fires burn within us anew
We walk through the darkness with new light in view
We find new hope against the odds
We learn how to make it through when times get hard.
I leave you with this poem, as you continue to persevere
through figuring out the best way to push forward even through fear,
lean in, and provide our scholars with the way out.
In your ability to do so, I have no doubt
My hope is that you fight until the end- lean on your neighbor, colleague, and friend.
This is easier said than done, I know
but, the person sitting next to you is in the same boat.
Let's do this together and make the rest of our year GRAND!
The battle is ours together to defeat and stand!
The Dream Team Will Fight!
Sincerely,
Andrea

INSTRUCTIONAL & CULTURAL FOCUS AREAS
a. Instructional Focus: Build Knowledge Throughout the Learning Experience
b. Cultural Focus: Advisory Execution and Systems
i. Importance of Advisory
1. "Without advisory school would be more distant. It would not be as cheerful. We would not be as connected to everybody"
ii. Scholars long for a sense of community and normalcy in an often abnormal world, advisory programs seek to bridge the gap between school and home by cultivating relationships!
