SPRING FASHION SHOW 2016

The 2015-16 PSHS Advanced Fashion Design Class presents SPRING FASHION SHOW 2016. The show will be held on Thursday, March 17th at 7:30pm in the Doyle Dean Performing Arts Theater, Bldg. D. Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door ONLY.

SHOW ME THE MONEY’ PRESENTATION

The PSHS PTSA will host 'Show me the Money' - an informative presentation about Scholarships Thursday, March 17th at 6:30pm following a General PTSA meeting at 6 pm in the PSHS Cafeteria. Get all the information you want about the types of scholarships and what you need to know so that you can get a piece of the scholarship pie.

Tryout times: 4:30pm to complete:

Packets available: in the PSHS fishbowl Monday, February 1st


*Mandatory pre-tryout parent/participant meeting March 1st at 6pm in the PSHS B Building Lecture Hall


Packets due: Friday, March 18th no later than 4:15pm to the PSHS fishbowl


Late packets will not be accepted unless previous arrangements have been made with the PSHS cheer coaches.

SUPER SATURDAY AT COLLIN COLLEGE

Collin College will be hosting a Super Saturday event for local high school students and parents this Saturday, March 19th from 11am – 1pm at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano.

3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Plano will be holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament this Saturday, March 19th, in the Plano Senior Gym from 10am - 3pm.


  • $10 per person
  • 4 person team max
  • 1st place will win Mavs Tickets
  • Basketball or Tennis shoes required to play
  • Proceeds will be donated to the Nishant Cancer Foundation.

SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

Registration for Summer School begins Monday, March 21st. Students must have prior approval from their Counselor before they can register for a class. On-line registration is available at http://www.pisd.edu/students/summer.school/ . Paper copies are available from individual Counselors.

ATTENTION SENIORS

The Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship deadline has been extended to March 28, 2016. This scholarship is for graduating seniors interested in pursuing a teaching degree in college. Applications are available in the Counseling Department.

PROM 2016!

Prom Tickets are on sale online through parent portal at https://parentviewer.pisd.edu/ for the reduced-price of $25/student until Friday, March 4th. After Friday, March 4th, the ticket price will be $30/student. At the door, they will be $40/person. Only seniors may purchase tickets. Limit is two per student.

ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE INSTRUCTIONS:

-Log in to Parent Portal

-Scroll down to "Student Registration" window

-Click on your student's name

-Click on "Pay Now" button...this will open a window for prom ticket purchase

-Print out receipt, if possible, for student to present when time to pick up tickets

ADVANCED FASHION DESIGN – WORLD WEAR PROJECT: RECYCLING SHOES AND CLOTHING NEVER MADE MORE CENTS!

Be a part of diverting thousands of pounds of shoes and clothing from local landfills by filling our shoe and clothing donation bin with your gently used: shoes, clothes, purses, belts, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys, stuffed animals, pots and pans. For every pound donated from you, our fashion students receive $0.15. Our bin is conveniently located in the East parking lot by the gym in handicap parking.

Texas Forensic Association state tournament

Plano Senior Speech and Debate attended the Texas Forensic Association state tournament over spring break and brought home 4th place in the state. Many of our students had incredible individual success and those results are listed below. Please congratulate these students if you have them on class or see them on campus! Our season continues as we prepare for UIL and national tournaments later this spring. Thank you for your support.
