Please mark your calendars with our upcoming Curriculum Night events. Each Curriculum Night begins at 6:30 p.m. We will have our Newcomers Meet and Greet each evening at 5:45PM. For our families in grades Prek-2, you will have an opportunity to visit the classroom and hear all about PTA, Foundation, SGC and the curriculum in the cafeteria. For those with students in grades 3-5, we will follow a schedule each night that allows you to visit your child's Homeroom teacher as well as their content area classes. We certainly hope everyone in our community can arrange to join us. Please note of your child’s grade level below:
August 23 Grades: K-1 6:30-8:00- Kindergarten parent please report to the classroom at 6:30. You will then move to the cafeteria at 7:10PM. Frist grade parents should report to the cafeteria first at 6:30PM.
August 24 Grades 2-3 – Second grade parents should report to the classrooms at 6:30. You will then move to the cafeteria at 7:10PM. Third grade parents should report to the cafeteria first at 6:30PM.
August 25 Grades 4-5– Fifth grade parents should report to the classrooms at 6:30. You will then move to the cafeteria at 7:10PM. Fourth grade parents should report to the cafeteria first at 6:30PM.
You may have noticed that our class sizes are very small in some grade levels and very large in others. Please remember that all class placements are tentative for the first two weeks of school as Fulton County Schools examines staffing needs. Teacher positions are added or removed from schools as defined by their actual enrollment. Our enrollment is growing daily, however we will not know for sure if were are collapsing or adding a class at any grade level until after Fulton County Schools completes a system wide review of needs. I will keep you informed as I know more in the coming days. Please make sure that your email address and phone numbers are up to date in the front office.
Enjoy your evening!
Best,
Maureen

PTA Reflections
The Reflections Arts Recognition Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to unleash their creative talents and be inspired, express themselves imaginatively in their artwork, experience the joy and fun of making art, tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme and receive positive recognition for their original works of art.
“WHAT IS YOUR STORY?” is this years’ PTA Reflections theme. Encourage your students’ creativity to shine!
Students may submit an entry in any of these fields:
• Dance Choreography
• Film Production
• Literature
• Music Composition
• Photography
• Visual arts
For more information on the Reflections Program or to obtain a student entry form, please visit: http://rnepta.com/academic-enrichment/reflections/
