Message from Geordie
Happy Friday Everyone!
Is it just me or are these weeks absolutely FLYING by?
Below are a few messages that we really urge you to please read. While we appreciate that everyone is busy, making the time to read through the Weekly Reminders keeps everyone well informed and will hopefully decrease stress as these busy end of year weeks unfold.
Thank you to all those families who keep on sprinkling happiness, positivity and a wise, and reflective attitude towards all aspects of your child's school experience. How we, as significant adults in our children's lives, process and communicate their successes, failures, setbacks, conflicts, perceptions, friendship fallouts and more, plays a huge role in how well or otherwise, our children come through the other end!
Every opportunity to be our wisest, calmest, most discerning self, directly supports the growth of our children's resilience, character and progress towards success in multiple domains. When parents and teachers work respectfully together as a cooperative team, outcomes are greatly enhanced. Well done Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers - and thank you!
Another great week here at Bernie’s with our Interschool Athletics Team having a great day on Thursday, our P&F meeting and our AMAZING Year 2’s entertaining us with poetry, live music and a heap of fun! Thanks guys – I apologise I wasn’t there but have loved watching all your hard work in rehearsal!
Finally, on a personal note, I am off to compete in the Tour of Margaret River this weekend. I am anxious, scared, and excited all at the same time! I hope to see you all next week – hopefully in one piece!
Enjoy the weekend – Next week is Wellbeing Week so there will be no homework. Please try to keep meetings outside of this week so that our teachers can take a breath before the last month of school!

Our Year 4 Champions!
I would like to congratulate these boys for the amazing sportsmanship they showed on Friday. We had a timing gate malfunction which meant we needed to re-run their race and all the boys stayed positive, encouraged each other and had another go! We obviously have some excellent leaders coming through our school. Great job boys – you all won that race as far as I am concerned!
