CDS - First Program
The Weekly Word from CDS FP - Apr 16 - Apr 27, 2018
Looking Back
- Term 4 has been full of a variety of interesting events for students. The term is about to end on May 1st.
- Students from Grades 3, 4, and 5 collaborated in a Basketball event @ KIS on Saturday, April 21. Mr. Tronsgard, Ms. Bahr, and Mr. Hill accompanied the students. They enjoyed the chance to play several games against teams from all over Seoul, and we were very proud of the students's effort. Events like this provide a fantastic opportunity for the students to gain valuable game and sportsmanship experience. Thank you to the PTA who supported the teams on the successful day!

- A new Lab - CDSFP Podcasting - also has new productions. Tune in to listen to students and Mr. Baker discussing things like our school's 6 Cs as well as reviewing books by our visiting author, Bryn Barnard. Fantastic to listen to. Links below!.
- I trust that students returned home last Thursday communicating to families about what a great day Sports Day turned out to be. The weather was perfect for the day. Students competed in track and field events and were able to show growth within each sport. Students were able to experience events such as high jump, the 100m, the 400m, ball throw, and hurdles. They also collaborated in their Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire teams throughout the day. Students also spent part of the afternoon in the pool playing water polo, sinkables-diving games, and the remainder of the afternoon playing a variety of games such as bocce, potato sack races, and tic/tac/toe. We were very proud of the students' growth mindset on the day, their willingness to try new events and improve upon themselves.
- A great big thank you to the PTA for organizing another fantastic Culture and Diversity Day. Six countries were represented at tables and gymnasium. Students played traditional games, heard interesting facts, samples delicious foods, and participated in crafts from around the world. The cultural clothes the students wear on the day are always a favorite, too!
