This test helps teachers determine a student's reading level. Which is really about finding good fit books for your student that will not overwhelm them but challenge them just enough. Your child should not be restricted to only reading books at their reading level however. Students really have a range of levels that they can read and should read from. Depending on topic and interest some books within that range of levels may be more difficult or easier for your child. So please keep your student in books that are close to your students Instructional Reading level which is determined with the F & P Test.
