PHMS Announcements: November 3-9, 2019
2. The football team will play Gilbert in the Lex10 Championship at Lexington High School on Monday. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $5.00.
3. Beginning Monday, November 4, we will be implementing a new access control system at our front doors. After 8:10 a.m., all doors will be locked and visitors will be required to “buzz in” to gain access to the building through a closed circuit monitoring system. Visitors will only gain access through the right door of the main entrance. Thank you for your patience as we put in place these new procedures.
4. Girls basketball tryouts will be held on November 4 and 5 from 3:40-5:00. Boys basketball tryouts will be held on November 4 and 5 from 4:15-5:30. You must have a sports physical on file in order to tryout.
5. In order to help provide a breakfast to our veterans during our Veterans Day Celebration, the 8th grade Immersion Students will be collecting "spare, loose change" in the car line and bus loop on Wednesday, November 6.
6. There will be a C-Team Lacrosse Interest Meeting for 7th & 8th Grade Boys interested in playing lacrosse for Lexington High School. Meeting will be held Thursday, November 7th at 6:30 PM in Room B-115 at Beechwood Middle School. Please contact Coach Piepoli if you have any questions.
7. PHMS archery tryouts will be held on November 12 and 13, 2019 from 5-7 pm at the Deerfield Elementary School Gym. Students do not need to bring any equipment to tryouts but may bring their Geneses Original Bow if they have one. Tryouts are open to all students in grade 6, 7, and 8. 8. Join PHMS for Family Bingo Night on Nov. 12 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Please use the bus loop door entrance. Tickets for pizza, chips and a drink can be pre-purchased for $3.00 during all grade level lunches this week. Tickets are not necessary if you are not planning to eat. Our Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during this time.
9. If you are interested in traveling to England, Ireland and Wales in Summer 2021, come to the interest meeting Thursday, November 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons. Bon Voyage!
10. The theme for the Book Fair this year is Arctic Adventure. Books can be purchased online Nov. 6-19 and at school in the Learning Commons Nov. 11-15 from 7:35 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Parents can sign up for eWallet (a digital payment option) for students anytime through the Book Fair homepage on the school website or the Learning Commons website. Our theme for the school year is LEAD with PRIDE. We hope that this theme will inspire our students to have a feeling of self respect and satisfaction for the things that they will accomplish this year.
