St. Jude School
September 18, 2021
A Note from the Principal
St. Jude School is asking you to partner with us in supporting the following COVID guidelines:
Do not send your child to school if they are feeling ill. Should your child begin to feel sick during the school day, you will be contacted.
Masking is encouraged for all students who are not vaccinated. Wearing a mask in school remains a parent choice.
To reduce the spread of the Delta Variant, even vaccinated people may choose to wear a mask.
Mrs. Hibler will contact anyone who has been exposed by direct contact as defined by the Lorain County Public Health Department.
Students exposed to the virus will not need to quarantine from school or extracurricular activities if they are fully vaccinated or wore a mask during exposure.
Should your child test positive, please contact Mrs. Hibler, and she will assist you with further procedures.
Faithfully,
Mrs. Hibler

Congratulations on being awarded the Governor's Thomas Edison Awards for STEM Education and Student Research (for the 2020-2021 school year). Even during a pandemic, our faculty remained committed to teaching beyond the boundaries of the traditional classroom and pushing the limits of experiential learning. Scientific research and technological design can only be learned by doing. Thank you to all of our amazing teachers for developing Ohio's next generation of STEM talent by helping our students develop critical skills like problem-solving, teamwork, collaboration, and communications.
Help Wanted
Do you enjoy working with children? Have you been sitting around, wondering what you could do with your afternoons that would be fun and fulfilling? Are you looking for occasional work to put a little extra spending money in your wallet? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, St. Jude School's Extended Day program needs you! We are currently looking for energetic, responsible, and motivated people to come in on an as-needed basis as subs for our staff members when they cannot be with us. We would need you to be available on short notice occasionally, so flexibility in your personal schedule would be crucial. This is a paid position, and I can guarantee that you would be well-paid in other ways just by sharing your time with our school's children. If you are interested in finding out more, don't hesitate to contact me via the phone number or email given below. We look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Carol Wright, Extended Day Program Director
