IAMacomb Update

Finishing up a great school year

It is hard to believe the end of the year is approaching. As a community, we have been through so much in the last year. I want to express my gratitude to each of you for your patience and partnership throughout this unique school year. As we look ahead to next school year, we are in conversations about what it might look like for our students. Our hope is that we can return to more normalcy, time will tell. Rest assured we are planning and preparing and will update you as soon as possible. I am very proud of the students and staff for finding ways to achieve such success during this unique time.

Seniors - Class of 2021

We have many exciting opportunities approaching to celebrate the seniors. In addition, students recently finished the upload process to submit their internal assessments to IB. IB Diploma results will be available, as they are each year, in July.

On May 11, we are celebrating with an outdoor prom-like event called, "All Dressed Up and No Place to Go!" Senior teacher sponsors Ms. DeMay and Ms. Cook have been diligently planning what I am sure will be a wonderful and memorable event.

On May 13, seniors will come to the IAM for a drive-thru sometime between 9-11am to pick up graduation tickets. Each senior will receive 4 tickets. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube and accessible from the IAM website. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no additional tickets available.

On May 20 at 1pm, the seniors need to attend the commencement rehearsal on zoom.

There will be two great events during senior week. The first is a pre-recorded virtual honors program which will be broadcast on May 25. The link to honors night will be available on our website and on YouTube. The second is our commencement that will take place a Jimmy John's Field on May 27.

We look forward to these great events to honor the IAM Class of 2021!

After several years of hard work by the IAM Robot Team, they brought home a Chairman’s Award banner! They were one of 25 teams to win at the district level.

NHS Volunteers

Students at the IAM are keeping busy with community service. They recently did their third drop off of donated items to the Macomb Foster Closet for the year. It was fantastic! This drive was diapers and baby supplies. The representatives from the organization were very grateful for the support.
