Sixth Grade AIM
Today in AIM (and the last couple of months)
We have so much to share with you today! The last month or so has been extremely busy for this group of 6th graders and now I finally have time to share some of their work. Take a look at THREE major projects we completed!
Project # 1 - State Wide Video Contest
In late January we submitted our entry into the Texas Public School Board video contest. Super proud of this group for helping write the lyrics, sing the song, film most of the shots and help with the editing. Enjoy! I have also included the link for the actual contest so you can send it out for others to watch (every time you watch it - its a vote)!
Project # 2 - World Culture Day Shadow Shows
During World Cultures Day our 6th graders entertained the entire school with their Shadow Show Fairy Tales from around the world. We've been plucking away at this project for some time now and it was very satisfying to see it all come together. They had to find a fairy tale based on their immigration character and work to adapt it to the shadow show format. It was a labor of love to make these four short stories come alive. Watching it on film doesn't do it justice but I think you can get the idea! The two links are after the pictures!
Project # 3 Another Direction Ep# 1 Web series
And finally Another Direction has been released on our school website (or you can check it out with the direct link below)! The class researched, wrote, filmed, edited, the first episode, designed the logo, built the website, wrote the character bios, wrote and sang the theme song etc., They are super proud of this project and they deserve to be! We have already started working on Ep #2. On the website there is a link to order their own Another Direction t-shirt (I have already ordered mine), this is completely optional so no pressure (at least not from me)!
