Staff Appreciation Week 2018 has arrived, and this year we want to go all out, because you deserve it!
We have ideas and themes planned for each day of the week to keep us entertained. To kick things off, and because we heard it was the most important meal of the day, We’ll be providing breakfast Monday morning.

Kindergarten teacher lunch will be after the PD. Prep time will be made up if the PD is during a scheduled prep time.
On May 9 I will once again offer extra "sub time" to allow teachers to visit other classrooms and observe the great teaching happening right here at primary or elementary for 30 minute time periods. You could also invite a colleague to come observe you teach and ask for feedback! Sign up here!
Math Chats - May 15
We will have a chance to collaborate, explore Eureka materials, plan, and enjoy math. Grades kindergarten through eighth will have the opportunity to work together and learn more about the Eureka curriculum tool.
The Big Hollow Math Chats will be held on the third Tuesday of the month, from 4-5:00 PM at the District Office - Middle School Library. Those dates will include:
- May 15
- Teachers will receive 1 hour of CPDU credit and 1 hour stipend. Water and light snacks will be provided.

Area of Improvement: Increase # of students in tier I in ELA and math & at PreK Increase # of students showing progress in literacy and math levels
Action Plan: Determine and provide a variety of resources and progress monitoring tools, Determine resource based on student need, Maximize staff and minimize student group size, Improve intervention schedule, Utilize time to have meaningful discussions about data and student growth and at PreKTeaching Strategies Gold will be used to assess all students

ABC Review of a Fabulous Year!
ABC Review of a Great Year
It is hard to believe that we are reaching the homestretch of the school year! On Wednesday, April 25, we will begin our letter review to the last day of school. Please follow the schedule for what we will be doing in class for each letter of the alphabet. These activities will make the last few weeks of school even more fun and exciting! Some of the activities will require something from home (stuffed animal day, clothing, etc.)
May 7 I Inside out day- wear your clothes inside out to school
May 8 J Jammie day- wear your jammies to school
May 9 K Kindness Day- do some acts of kindness today
May 10 L Letter Day- we will write letters to next year’s incoming class
May 11 M Mismatch Day- wear mismatch clothing
May 14 N Number day- we will play number games in class
May 15 O Outside Day- find something out of the ordinary in the nature center
May 16 P Purple Day- wear something purple
May 17 Q Quiet Reading Day- we will have quiet reading time
May 18 R Red Day- wear red
May 21 S Sports Apparel Day – wear your favorite team or sport
May 22 T T-Shirt Day -wear your favorite t-shirt
May 23 U USA Day -wear red, white, and blue
May 24 V Visit Day- Kindergarten will visit First Grade

If you aren't a golfer, dinner only tickets are available!
Scramble Format
$100 per golfer includes greens fees, cart, lunch and dinner
Come for the FUN, stay for the golf.

We are planning on having live and silent auctions, so if you know of any great leads on prizes such as travel, sports, dining, beverages, experiences, please bend their ears and then let us know!
