Let's Celebrate Poetry
BUSD Libraries Newsletter - April 2021
Dear BUSD staff, students, and families,
Why Poetry?
Poetry is a way to share deep, complicated, or silly feelings. We find connections in the rhythm, rhyme, and tempo of poetry. Poetry offers intimate glimpses into the human experience. It is musical, emotional, and creative.
Poet and writer Jeanette Winterson says that poetry is "a language powerful enough to say how it is. It isn't a hiding place. It is a finding place."
